ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Tax Resolution Manager is responsible for the overall performance of a team of Enrolled Agents and Financial Analyst ensuring each client is placed in the best tax resolution possible, while also ensuring the team meets and exceeds performance and compliance standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a passion for client service, and the ability to manage a pipeline of clients ensuring efficient case flow.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead, mentor and supervisor a team of Enrolled Agents and Financial Analyst
• Provide ongoing coaching and development to team members to enhance their knowledge of IRS standards and regulations to identify the best resolution available.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and manage performance improvement plans.
• Develop and implement performance metrics and targets for the entire processing team.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards on case processing metrics, team performance, individual member performance, and overall key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Implement systems and procedures to identify underperforming team members to provide coaching, additional training or other appropriate action.
• Conduct on-the-spot feedback as needed to develop team members and help instill a culture of continuous coaching.
• Promote a positive team culture and drive employee engagement towards meeting deadlines and goals.
• Monitor team pipeline in Salesforce using dashboards and reports to ensure cases are actively flowing through the customer journey according to company standards.
• Analyze data and dashboards to identify trends, non-compliance, areas of improvement and opportunities to optimize processes.
• Develop and implement processes to improve team efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Communicate with the IRS and state agencies when necessary.
• Negotiate the release of garnishments, levies, and passport revocations.
• Analyze client cases with Enrolled Agents as needed to calculate taxpayer disposable income in order to negotiate installment agreements, currently non-collectable hardships, offer-in-compromise and penalty abatements.
• Proficient experience in Logics, Salesforce or other tax-related industry CRM.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

• Over 5 years of experience in an Enrolled Agent or Tax Professional role
• Over 3 years of experience in a supervisor role managing client pipelines in tax relief, consumer lending, debt consolidation or other related financial services industry.
• Bachelor’s in business administration, economics, finance or other related field preferred
• Enrolled Agent license or CPA preferred
• Proficient experience in Logics, Salesforce or other tax-related industry CRM.

SALARY RANGE: $120,000 - $150,000

The above-range represents TaxRise’s current good-faith pay scale for this role. TaxRise reserves the right to modify or update this range at any time.
