Taylor Excavating & Construction, Inc. is Hiring a Warehouse / Distribution Center Manager Near Chicago, IL

WAREHOUSE PURCHASING & PARTS SUPPLY MANAGER-HEAVY EQUIPMENTSUMMARY: This position will have heavy earth moving equipment knowledge to complete purchasing of parts and scheduling maintenance for all vehicles and heavy equipment. Includes oversight of storage and inventorying of tools, attachments, vehicles, trucks, and equipment. Ensures maintenance, safety, and compliance with company and industry standards are adhered to by employees.
Essential Responsibilities And Duties
  • Ordering of parts for heavy earth moving equipment and vehicles to fulfill mechanics requests.
  • Schedule servicing of on road and off-road heavy equipment & vehicles.
  • Manage equipment and parts inventory.
  • Expedites delivery of parts to mechanics and/or field operations.
  • Maintain files, licenses, inspections, service agreements, warranties and contracts for all equipment and tools.
  • Approves invoices for payment.
  • Assist management, shop staff, and accounting with equipment costs for existing and potentially purchased equipment. Provide support as necessary.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training in the heavy equipment industry.
  • Ability to write simple reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, suppliers, manufacturers, mechanics, and field personnel.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, and volume.
