I'm currently working with a leading Real Estate company based in West Palm Beach, they are dedicated to providing exceptional services across multiple US locations and specialise in residential, commercial and multi-family properties.
This is a newly created Legal Counsel role and it's an exciting time to be joining the company.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house legal matters including drafting agreements, addressing compliance issues, and participating in negotiation discussions. In order to succeed, this candidate should feel comfortable working with in-house and outside counsels on a variety of Real Estate legal matters.
Candidates must have Real Estate experience to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and advice on all aspects of multi-family development projects, including acquisitions, financing, construction, and leasing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and development agreements.
- Conduct due diligence reviews of potential development sites, including zoning and land use analysis, environmental assessments, and title examinations.
- Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and government agencies to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and project timelines.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of legal and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed Attorney in a minimum of one jurisdiction in the United States.
- Minimum of two years of experience practicing real estate law, with a focus on multi-family development projects within a law firm or in-house.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex real estate transactions from inception to completion.
