Job Summary:

A Project Engineer is responsible for assisting project managers on T&M and lump sum projects as assigned, including the coordination of project controls, engineering, design and site activities associated with execution of projects. Primary duties include schedule management, contacting vendors, preparation of reports, and close-out of projects. A high degree of coordination with other departments and offices will be required. 

Job Description:

The Project Engineer will embrace overall project responsibility and:

• Provide project support and leadership for projects by stewarding design, fabrication and installation while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and environmental protection

• Act as internal/external third-party liaison with client and vendor interface

• Manage time and resources efficiently

• Prepare periodic reports with schedule, completed and planned activities, budget, action items

• Forecast and analyze (estimates, planning, scheduling, budgeting, reporting etc.)

• Plan upcoming work with vendors, contractors, drafting and engineering managers

• Motivate others and delegate work effectively

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering

• Minimum of 8 years in the oil and gas industry

• Experience in offshore construction

• Proficiency in Excel and Word, and preferably MS Project. 

• Prepare cost estimates for AFE’s, schedules and budgets per company and client requirements

• Occasional travel required (5% - 15%)
