Taylorview Dental is looking to hire an experienced enthusiastic dental assistant with strong work ethics, excellent communication, and patient care skills to join our amazing team!

Your primary responsibility is to prepare the examination rooms for appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the dentist. You would also be assisting the dentist during their procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs throughout the appointment. Another responsibility would be greeting patients as they arrive, submitting billing details to the insurance company and scheduling the patient’s next appointment before they leave the clinic

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Taking and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs
• Doing lab work as specified by the doctor
• Taking X-rays and other dental x-rays according to established procedures
• Giving and maintaining oral hygiene treatments such as brushing, flossing, and cleaning on the spot as well as completing post-operative follow up calls
• Assisting patients with pre and post-operative visits
• Keeping all patient's appointments current
• Keeping accurate records of office operations in a timely manner
• Applying and verifying patient's insurance benefits

Requirements:

• At least one year of hands-on assisting experience.
• Outgoing and personable personality.
• Energetic and committed to helping others.
• Ability to use computer programs effectively
• Ability to work Tuesday and Thursday from 7:45-5pm, Wednesday and Friday from 6:45 - 3
• Ability to work on Mondays from 6:45-1pm (starting in November)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
