Our Approach to Ticket Operations: Taymar brings a holistic approach to revenue generations, marrying the tasks traditional ticket operations with the hard pace of selling to increase results. We operate in both ticket sales and ticket operations capacities at nearly half of our clients. Position Overview: Taymar Sales U.’s General Manager of Ticket Sales & Operations will have direct oversight of the day-to-day functions of the Athletics ticketing unit. This position will work alongside the Director of Ticket Sales to drive ticket revenue, while achieving personal sales metrics and overseeing all daily reporting and deposit of ticket revenue, priority seating, customer service, system event builds, inventory management revenue reconciliations and backend reporting. This role will oversee pricing strategy for the $40 million Timmons Arena renovation and all functions of the ticket office, while proactively generating revenue through group sales, renewals, and new season ticket sales. Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Senior Associate AD – External Affairs &Revenue Generation, provide direct oversight of ticket sales and operations strategy and execution for athletics
Provide guidance on pricing strategies in newly renovated Timmons Arena through analyzing historical data, market trends, and secondary market transaction data
Work with Athletics Department senior staff to determine ticket pricing, benefits, and programming
Analyze, develop, and oversee ticket office budget in coordination with the Athletic Business Office and Senior Associate AD
Implement cost-saving strategies through data analysis and best practices
Develop and implement custom reports for senior level administrators and NCAA yearly required reporting
Oversee all ticket office reconciliation and year-end closing procedures
Implement and exceed all team ticket sales revenue goals
Oversee and deploy digital marketing strategies to increase sales and lead generation
Develop comprehensive sales campaign in the areas of new season tickets, group sales and retention
Hire, train, and manage all gameday box office staff for football, men’s and women’s basketball and other ticketed events
Initiate and execute ticket system builds within ticket system and manage inventory across all ticketed events
Generate reports and accurately track overall ticketing revenue pace towards goals
Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment to produce accurate results
Meet and work collaboratively with senior administration within the athletics department
Maintain a positive working relationship with all internal & external units of the department and University to ensure a positive event experience for customers
Must be able to work evenings/weekends, as required. All home games will be worked in various capacities
Work in the assigned, on campus location daily as well as go on in person meetings out in the community
Qualifications:
4 years’ experience in ticket sales, management, and ticket operations
Passion for sales and leadership, with strong organization skills, work ethic, and positive attitude
Demonstrated ability to hire, train and lead a sales team
Experience in ticket operations and TM Archtics Ticketing System
Ability to schedule, lead and manage a sales team and gameday box office staff
