TC Industries is Hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager (TPS Manager) Near Crystal, IL
The function of the position is to design and drive implementation of consistent lean manufacturing and other initiatives in all TC Industries plants. Provide leadership, technical advice & consulting, direction, training and coaching in Lean/Six Sigma/ISO principles and tools to plant management & leadership.
Responsibilities

- Build team spirit, pride, and camaraderie within team.
- Promote safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous quality improvement in accordance with company policies.
- Complies with all the policies and procedures set forth in the Company Handbook.
- Consult in the use of manufacturing tools (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Control, Standardized Work, Kanban, SMED, etc.)
- Develop and implement metrics to support corporate objectives and to support the TPS implementation.
- Conduct assessments, including production system diagnostic and 5S scoring, as well as other production system metrics.
- Lead plant leadership teams by helping them develop and implement a production system strategy based on value stream maps of the product families.
- Organize & facilitate Kaizen events & lean projects. Calculate & report savings and other results.
- Develop & deliver production system training as needed.
- Support plant management in identifying and permanently removing obstacles that impact the production system transformation.
- Ensure alignment and collaboration between manufacturing plants; ensure successful methods are shared and deployed where appropriate.
- Establish and manage priorities to ensure timely and efficient completion of specific projects within the plant.
- Coordinate as required with manufacturing systems implementation resources.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, business, or related preferred.
- 7 years of manufacturing experience including leading continuous improvement projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong knowledge of ISO, 6 Sigma and Lean.
- Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Minitab experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel to other TC locations as needed.
