Summary:

As a Facility Manager, you will oversee the efficient and safe operation of the company's facilities. This includes managing maintenance, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, optimizing space utilization, and coordinating facility-related projects.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM; this position may require occasional evening or weekend work to oversee facility operations or respond to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance:

1. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for building systems, equipment, and facilities.
2. You coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely repairs and upkeep.
3. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.

Health and Safety Compliance:

1. Please ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
2. Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training programs for employees and contractors.
3. Conduct risk assessments and take corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
4. Work as a safety team member to ensure safety compliance in the facility.

Budgeting and Cost Management:

1. Develop and manage the facility budget, including operational expenses, maintenance, and capital expenditures.
2. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve cost-effectiveness.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

1. Select, negotiate contracts with, and oversee vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
2. Monitor contractor performance, quality of work, and adherence to contractual obligations.
3. Process invoices, track expenses, and ensure timely payment to vendors.

Environmental Sustainability:

1. Implement sustainable practices and initiatives to reduce the facility's environmental impact.
2. Monitor energy usage, waste management, and recycling programs.
3. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and conservation measures.

Stakeholder Communication:

1. Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding facility-related matters, including senior management, employees, and tenants.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Proved experience in facility management, property management, or related roles.
• Knowledge of building systems, boilers, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, codes, and compliance requirements.
• Strong project management, budgeting, and financial management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in facility management (e.g., CFM) is a plus.
