Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to set achievable goals and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based interventions and therapies to improve patients' physical strength, coordination, motor skills, and range of motion.
- Create or recommend adaptive equipment, assistive devices, or modifications to patients' environments to enhance their independence and safety.
- Teach patients compensatory techniques, educate them on energy conservation, joint protection, and self-care skills.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate records of assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to patients' family members, caregivers, and other support groups in maximizing patients' functional abilities.
- Stay updated on the latest research, advancements, and best practices in occupational therapy and incorporate them into the treatment plans.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards, maintain patient confidentiality, and ensure a safe and hygienic treatment environment.
- Passionate about implementation of activities of daily living
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prioritize workload, documentation, manage time efficiently, and work independently.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work with patients of varying physical abilities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and digital therapeutic tools is a plus.
- Collaboration and open communication are highly valued
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
- Hospital Setting; Acute and Skilled Rehabilitation
- Typical work week M-F; hours are flexible
- Full Time, Salaried position
