Our team is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio / Sharonville, Ohio area to support day to day accounting operations within our organization. This role requires a general knowledge of accounting principles, strong excel skills, and the ability to work within a highly efficient team while contributing to our continued success. The Staff Accountant position offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment across multiple functional teams, the ability to contribute to process improvements, and an opportunity to grow your accounting and analytical expertise. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete reconciliations across multiple accounts on a monthly basis
• Prepare and enter adjusting journal entries as needed
• Work with data sets in excel to perform various analytical tasks
• Familiarity with data import/export processes and general accounting software procedures
• Support monthly billing related tasks
• Participate in the preparation of financial reports through the accounting system
• Support internal compliance related tasks
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
• Ability to both lead a team and work independently
• Other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, Sage, Dynamics, etc.)
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, PIVOT TABLES, etc.
• Understanding of data standardization practices as it relates to reporting and financial analysis
• Payroll processing related experience a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and have a valid driver's license.
