TDHCD is currently seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will hold a bachelors degree in accounting or finance, and have earned the 150 credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam.

As a Staff Accountant at TDHCD, you will perform audit and tax work under the supervision of Senior Staff, Managers, and Partners.

Staff Accountants are expected to:

· Become proficient in the preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns prepared by the firm.

· Understand and adhere to the rules, requirements, and code of conduct of the AICPA, FASB, and GASB.

· Obtain a working knowledge of firm technology and procedures.

· Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.

Desired Skills, Experience and Attributes:

· Ability to establish work priorities and organize individual jobs.

· Ability to complete work accurately including work papers, tax returns, and financial statements.

· Employ research techniques using firm library and technology, as well as outside resources.

· Possess knowledge of accounting theories, federal, state, and local tax laws.

· Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.

· Strong interpersonal, technical skills, and communication skills in writing and in speech.
