GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position requires a hands-on management style to provide leadership to all manufacturing functions. The Manufacturing Manager’s key challenges are to grow Production Outputs within guidelines for Product Quality and Labor Costs, while being an active Safety Advocate and Environmental Steward, and to deploy Company and factory policies and strategies to staff throughout the manufacturing operation and translate them into team and personal goals. This person is a self-motivated and a detail-oriented leader.

This job has supervisory responsibilities, supervising a staff of Manufacturing Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
More than ten years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university/advanced degree or certificate, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced skills: Ability to use internet/intranet, cross functional Enterprise Resource Planning software, the MS Office package, and other software programs and packages to their potential to provide a work product fitting to the level of the position. Must also be able to perform troubleshooting
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: High Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to travel 10% and to make presentations in front of large audience.
