Job Description:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities, with a strong emphasis on cost accounting and inventory management. This role is ideal for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to accurately track and analyze costs associated with production and inventory.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting of inventory.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a cost accounting role.
• Proven experience in inventory management and cost accounting in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
