Team Georgia Careers is Hiring an Assistant Registrar Near Atlanta, GA

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Assistant Registrar position in the Enrollment Services division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.

ReportingtotheRegistrar,thefull-timeAssistantRegistrarisresponsibleforhandlingregistrationandstudentsrecordsandmaintainingtheintegrityofstudents’personalinformationandacademicrecords.The Assistant Registrar works in conjunction with the team to serve the Atlanta Technical College community with excellence, integrity, accuracy, and efficiency.

Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

·Processtransferevaluations,graduationaudits,degreeprogressaudits,andotherofficialuniversitydocumentationrelatingtostudentacademicrecords.

·Supportandservestudents,faculty,academicadvisors,andadministratorsbyinterpretingandclarifyingCollegepolicies regardingcatalogueandcurriculum requirements.

·RepresentstheofficeoftheRegistrarinitsfullestcapacityasitrelatestoHOPEcalculations,CHECSHistoricalsnapshotreviewsanderrorchecking.

·Workscloselywith the Admissionsmanager to rectify/remedyNSCH and stateenrollment/graduationerrors.

·Workscloselywithfinancialaid/studentaccountdepartmenttoresolvestudentregistrationrevenuecase.

·Processgradereports(includingfinalgradesubmissions),NOSHOWS,withdrawals,registration/enrollmentchanges,andotherrequestsasneeded.

·Createsconcise,clearreportsrelatedtostudentissues.

·Providesstudentinformationsystemtrainingtopersonnel.

·Createandmodify administrative and staff student information accounts; and

·Perform additional duties assigned by the Registrar.

Skills in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.

Decision making and problem-solving skills.

Ability to pay close attention to details, coordination, and prioritization.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Knowledge of laws related to students entering college establishments.

Knowledge of state residency policies for students entering educational establishments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess and demonstrate an Associate degreeANDOne (1)yearof relatedworkexperience in a secondary or post-secondary education environment; ORHighSchool Diplomaorequivalent ANDTwo(2) yearsofrelated workexperience in a secondary or post-secondary education environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference may be considered for candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:

Bachelor’s degree or higher AND three (3) or more years of work experience in a secondary or post-secondary education environment.

KnowledgeofFERPAguidelineswiththeabilitytoexplainthemtoothers.

Experiencein the use of a StudentInformationSystem (preferablyBANNER)to successfully deliver registrationservices and maintainstudentrecords.

Proficientwith MicrosoftOffice(most importantly,Excel)and othercomputersoftware/databases.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy is a must.

Excellentinterpersonalskillsandenthusiasmforworkingwithadiversepopulationofstudents,faculty,andstaff, andcontributing to a culture of inclusion, mutual understanding, and respect.
