Summary
The Assistant Site Manager is a 1099 contractor who assists the Site Manager in tasks related to the oversight and management of a rapidly deployed camp. This role will be deployed to remote locations for 90 to 120 days with a 30 days on, 15 days off schedule. This position encompasses supporting the Site Manager in the coordination and project management of all camp projects, to include vendor management for: billeting, janitorial, laundry, water, fuel, maintenance, and other relevant services.
Essential Position Functions
- Assist with Infrastructure Management
- As assigned by the Site Manager, track and ensure the daily maintenance and performance of power generation systems, electrical systems, water systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and other infrastructure support.
- Provide troubleshooting and solutions for internet and telecommunications challenges.
- Support activities that ensure camp facilities are mission-capable and deployed, assembled, and operated in compliance with applicable civil and military regulatory standards and codes.
- Oversee completion of work orders.
- Support 24-hour emergency coverage for the site, develop, and execute emergency response
- Site Management
- Support the successful delivery of products and services in a safe, timely, cost-effective manner.
- Write regular situation reports and updates to THS and/or the Mayor’s Cell, as necessary.
- Maintain inventory of all THS property and vendor assets on site.
- Follow up in partnership with the Site Manager to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues.
- Conduct periodic inspections of the base camp and tenant spaces.
- Prepare and maintain appropriate records, logs, correspondence, and file notes.
- Support Team Housing Solutions
- Deploy to assist with development or management of another camp as needed.
- All other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Position Requirements
- Prior remote site experience preferred.
- Experience with facility management and operations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, vendors, public officials, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands on site.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiar with OSHA and other facility safety requirements.
- Certifications in technical, electrical, plumbing, and heavy equipment helpful.
- Familiar with operations, personnel management, inventory control, and maintenance.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and MS Teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
