Manager, IT Operations / IT Infrastructure Manager, 24-13024

Join an elite team overseeing the technical architecture that powers an industrial distribution organization. As a Manager of IT Operations, you will lead both in-house professionals and outsourced vendors to design, build, and maintain our comprehensive IT infrastructure. This role is pivotal in shaping our technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and pushing the boundaries of IT efficiency and effectiveness.

Location: Chicago, IL – near O’Hare airport

Status: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote) Must be local. No relocation available.

Competitive Salary: 140-150K

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and overseeing the IT infrastructure vision and systems architecture.
• Aligning IT strategy with business goals for maximum impact.
• Ensuring best practices in the design and management of IT infrastructure.
• Managing vendor relationships and outsourced IT functions.
• Designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions and maintaining SOX compliance.

About You

• Be able to do the job as described.
• Proven ability to lead IT infrastructure teams and be hands-on.
• Experience with public cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
• Expertise in virtualization and Cisco networking technologies.
• Vendor management experience
• Strong SAP or ERP experience
• Strong project management and strategic planning skills.
