Job Title: School Cafeteria Worker

Job Description:

Round Rock ISD is seeking dedicated and reliable School Cafeteria Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving food to students, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen and dining area, and adhering to all food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to students and staff.
• Must be able to work in a School ISD environment with students/children/young adults.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure safety standards are met.
• Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Provide friendly and courteous service to students and staff.
• Assist with special dietary needs and menu planning.

Qualifications:

• A positive attitude and a passion for serving students and staff.
• Previous experience in food service or a cafeteria setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. It may also require uniforms and/or the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
