Teatro Zinzanni is housed inside a Belgian wooden tent, with opulent furnishings and mirrors located on the 14th Floor of the Cambria Hotel. The venue has been operating successfully since 2019 and is a fine dining restaurant and theatrical performance venue where comfort with, and enthusiasm for this work environment, is essential.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Greeter is required to act as an ambassador of the venue and to welcome guests with upbeat and courteous hospitality and ensure that their experience from arrival to check in is seamless. 

This position is responsible for the setup and welcome process for Teatro Zinzani guests in the lower lobby Cambria Hotel Lobby) upon arrival, facilitating the elevator transport up to the upper lobby (venue lobby), monitoring the flux of arrivals and departures for the venue while being in constant communication with supporting staff and presenting guests with information about the venue and the company and its history, the check-in process and departure process and, providing overall assistance and being a source of information for any questions the guests might have. Additionally, this position also actively supports the night of show operations, including F & B operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensures timely set up of sidewalk with any and promotional objects and materials 
• Responsible for lower lobby set up and elevators set up with stanchions, welcome mats, ensures that elevators are clean and functional
• Welcomes guests and offers hospitality upon arrival and is actively ensuring, as an elevator attendant, that the flux of guests going up to the upper level is smooth and fluid 
• Answers any questions and offers information and offers guidance in regards to the show, the seating process, lobby layout and the hospitality operation 
• During the show and intermissions, supports the F & B operation as needed, by performing meal and beverage dispatch, monitoring tent entrance, taking over greeter duties as needed, and any other duties assigned by the F & B director as needed. 
• At the end of the show, sets up the upper lobby elevator area and ushers guest in a fluid and orderly manner to the bottom lobby to a positive and uplifting departure
• Maintains all areas pertaining to greeter duties impeccably organized and clean
• Performs any other duties as assigned by the F & B Director

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Essential minimum skills, education, and experience:

• Must be able to stand for up to 7 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate loud environments with bright and strobing lights
• Basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, a strong memory and organization skills
• Customer service experience in the show business, hospitality or retail industries
• Pleasant, positive and calm demeanor and the ability to work as part of a close team. 
• Thrives on constant interaction with the public

WORKING SCHEDULE/ENVIRONMENT

• Fast-paced, complex theatrical environment incorporating a 330-seat fine dining restaurant.
• The employee requires good organizational skills, memory, and the ability to respond to changing demands as needed.
• The atmosphere includes loud noise, bright lighting and strobe lights.

Primary schedule of Wednesday through Sunday as well as added shifts for Matinee or special events. (Schedule will vary according to the show calendar). This is a hands-on and feet-on-the-floor type position.
