The position of Environmental Compliance specialist plays a vital role in assisting organizations primarily in California to comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in environmental compliance consulting in California.
• Knowledge of California environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Environmental Site Assessments and Audits:

• Conduct environmental audits and assessments to evaluate a business's compliance with relevant regulations.
• Identify areas of non-compliance and develop strategies for correction.
• Prepare, submit, and update regulatory reports, such as Hazardous Materials Business Plans (HMBPs) in CERS.
• Conduct site assessments for HMBP and/or SPCC.

Waste Assessment and Management:

• Advise on proper waste management practices, including hazardous and universal waste disposal and recycling programs.
• Conduct waste tank assessments and prepare reports.
• Assist clients with resolution of notices to comply and notices of violations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
