The Electrical Estimator plays a critical role that supports growth by reviewing bid opportunities, preparing quotes and proposals, and helping the field team efficiently prepare for new projects. The Electrical Estimator will accurately approximate the cost of electrical installation and maintenance projects performed by TEC Electric. Estimator will analyze blueprints to determine man power and materials needed for various projects, provide solutions to increase profitability, and prepare project bids.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visit job locations to evaluate site conditions, strategize project, perform take-offs, and gather all necessary information pertinent to the project.
  • Develops cost estimates for change orders.
  • Analyzes material and labor requirements to complete a project.
  • Attends pre‐bid and scope review meetings.
  • Input and submit bids.
  • Meets with engineers, customers, vendors, and Project Managers.
  • Contacts vendors for pricing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines & work with limited supervision
  • Associate degree or combination of experience and education
  • Minimum 4 years of industry experience
  • Knowledge of NEC code

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,063.23 - $70,000.00 per year
