TEC Industrial Maintenance & Construction is Hiring an Industrial Construction Manager Near Mount Holly, NC

Summary:

Reporting to a Project or Operations Manager, the Site Construction Manager is responsible for all craft and maintenance personnel & activities. The Site Construction Manager will ensure all safety procedures and standards are met, communicate work direction to supervisors, and maintain consistent daily communication with key customer contacts.

Essential Functions:

  • Experience in the industrial maintenance and construction industry (Pulp & Paper, Chemical, Heavy Industrial)
  • Experience in managing and supervising multi-discipline self-perform maintenance and capital construction projects.
  • Experience in safety management including multi-cause investigations, safe work practice observation, and safety program improvements.
  • Work order management, project scheduling and turnaround planning experience.
  • Resource planning to ensure proper site staffing levels to meet the workloads and expectations of the client.
  • Effectively communicate with others, including but not limited to client representatives, supervision, and employees on a regular basis
  • Maintain customer relationships.
  • Implement and act in accordance with our company policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to: Code of Ethics, Safety, Human Resources, Finance, and Information Technology
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel to job sites located in the Southeastern US.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position will supervise Superintendents, Foreman, Journeymen, and staff roles on the project.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years of Industrial Construction management and leadership experience
  • Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
  • The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, industrial worksite environment.
  • Ability to manage budgets, work prioritization and prepare related management reports.
  • Strong PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Scheduling and PowerPoint
  • Project Management
  • Firm knowledge of construction, Maintenance project in Industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.

Education and Experience:

  • 10 years of Industrial Construction management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required.

Requirements:

  • Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift.
  • Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site.
  • Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers/printers/scanners/fax machines, phones, filing cabinets, etc. Employee must have the ability to transport necessary equipment and supplies and set-up for meetings, etc. The employee must have a current driver’s license and have the ability to travel to various locations at times for various reasons.
