Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Information Technology major, or equivalent work experience.
Required Tasks:
- Develop detailed project schedules in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Manage and monitor project progress within constraints like schedule, budget, and resources. Identify risks and issues and escalate them appropriately.
- Collect, maintain, and distribute project status meeting minutes.
- Provide routine status reports and briefings to project team, customers, and senior managers. Maintain effective communication among stakeholders.
- Adhere to project management methodologies, standards, and policies. Make recommendations for process improvement.
- Manage relationships with business partners and customers to achieve positive project outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong relationship and interpersonal skills while working with technical staff, program staff, and vendors.
- Comply with project management standards, processes, and procedures.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- 5 years’ experience in IT project management, particularly in managing medium-to-large scale software application development projects.
- 5 years’ experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
- 5 years’ experience in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project.
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles, theories, practices, and techniques related to software projects and programs.
- Ability to formulate project plans, think logically, analyze and solve problems, compile and organize data, and evaluate and monitor projects.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, iterative, agile, etc.).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts in user-friendly language.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
