Communications Manager

In this newly created and high-visibility role, we are seeking a skilled Communications Manager to contribute to and execute Tech:NYC’s communications strategy across multiple channels and work streams. Tech:NYC releases content related to NYS and NYC policy, tech industry news, and livability in New York City. The Communications Manager will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications and work collaboratively with the Tech:NYC team and communications agencies to create compelling, creative storytelling that advances our programmatic and policy work, engages our members, and raises the visibility of NYC’s tech ecosystem. This includes external communications (newsletter, blog, etc), media relations (press releases, reporter relations, etc), and internal communications (member communication). The Communications Manager role requires an interest and knowledge of the political and policy landscape of New York, and will spend a significant amount of time contributing to this workstream.

Salary Range & Benefits:
The target range of base salary in this role is $80,000-110,000. In addition to base salary, Tech:NYC considers other key components as part of total compensation, including annual holiday and benefits. Actual base compensation is influenced by a wide array of candidate factors, such as skill set and level of experience. Tech:NYC provides a generous benefits package including excellent coverage for health, vision, and dental insurance premiums; paid parental leave; time off including vacation, holidays, and sick time; and reimbursement for cellular service.
Additional Requirements:
