Software Engineer II (Java)
The Software Engineer II contributes to the development/maintenance of our internal/ external applications/services. Assists in documenting the technical scope and design for new development/enhancements; designs and develops code; ensures quality and integrity of software.
Responsibilities
· Contribute to new design and development on assigned projects.
· Create technical solutions based on end user requirements.
· Contribute to and documentation of programming guidelines/standards.
· Understand and work within the SDLC methodology and recommend process improvements
· Understand dataflow and integrations of key systems to enable solution design and bug resolution.
· Understand both server side and client-side development and contribute to the design of user interfaces and services to streamline processing and to produce responsive applications that use Microservices Architecture.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field (e.g., computer science, information technology, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
· 2 years of Java and/or Angular Development.
· Experience in the following preferred: Spring Framework, Spring boot, REST Web Services, Microservices, Junit, Mockito, UI Design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, basic SQL skills.
· Nice to have exp. or knowledge in the following: Angular JS, Angular, jQuery, JSP, Jasmine, Karma, Git, Kubernetes, Apache Camel, RabbitMQ, Drupal, Eclipse, STS, WebStorm, PL/SQL, Jira
· Strong customer service orientation. Ability to respond promptly to team needs and solicit feedback to improve service.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· Strong time management and organizational skills with an attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
