Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Modernization Displacement and Repair Site (MDRS) Transportation Supervisor on a Government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, TX.

PositionResponsibilities:

Provides supervision for contracted employees assigned to and in support of MDRS transportation operations in order to expedite displacement for redistribution/divesture of equipment as Army Command (ACOM) to ACOM (bucket 1) external transfers; Internal ACOM Off-Post Lateral Transfer (bucket 2); ACOM to Depot (bucket 3); ACOM Defense Logistics Agency- Disposition Services (DLA-DS) (bucket 4); and frustrated cargo (bucket 5). Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Supervising employees in the assigning, monitoring, and performance of daily assigned tasks within the MDRS transportation section.
• Applying expertise and judgement to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature, sequence and workload. As a result, requires a comprehensive knowledge and daily operation of Army Vantage Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A) and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS). In addition, a depth knowledge and understanding of Proposed Source Decisions (PSDs) produced from Decision Support Tool- Lead Material Integrator (DST-LMI).
• Receives equipment from MDRS supply section when ready to ship based on different buckets.
• Oversee processes of unloading, inspecting of equipment and serial numbers, counting, segregating, palletizing, temporarily storing of equipment, crating, and shipping.
• Selects and initiates contact with carriers to arrange appropriate transport equipment for various cargo; classified, sensitive, over dimensional, required delivery date (RDD), priority, or other special requirements.
• Process and document equipment for shipment, requests Funds Verification and Use Authorization (FVUA), and Commercial Bill of Landing (CBL).
• Verify FVUAs for completeness and ensures Transportation Account Codes (TAC) assigned are valid.
• Determines if commodity scheduled for shipment is classified sensitive, or Hazmat and ensures proper carriers are utilized.
• Prepare as well as inspects and accepts documentations DD Form 1149 and DD Form 1348-1 for outbound shipment completeness.
• Reconcile activity records for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Ensures accurate and timely reports are provided, attends scheduled and unscheduled meeting and briefings.
• Performs employee discipline counseling, employee performance reviews, and other personnel reporting, to include approval of leave request and timesheet reviews and approvals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

MinimumRequirements:

• Must be computer literate with experience with GCSS-A, Vantage, CMOS and ability to understand PSDs produced from DST-LMI.
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident for more than 3 years for CAC/ NACI eligibility.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18 years of age.
• Must have at least five years of supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions for property accountability.
• Working in warehouse turn-in or outbound section or two years in transportation sections.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. As well as, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Be able to pick up and move items within a 50-lb restriction.
• Be capable of climbing and working on equipment at 10 feet above ground limit.
• Be capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to work in a team environment or alone, including working in hot, dusty, windy areas for prolong time periods.
• Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to quickly research and collect the necessary applicable data, to establish the applicable facts, and to take or recommend action based upon proven applications or interpretation of systematic established guidelines.

DesiredQualifications:

• Previous soldier with Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 88A Transportation Officer or 88N Transportation Management Coordinator..
