Technical College System of GeorgiaOffice of Technical EducationEntry Salary: $95,000 – $100,000Location: 1800 Century Place, NE, Atlanta, GA 30345The position is open to all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications below.The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their fulltime Director of Grants Management in the Office of Technical Education. The Director of Grant Management is part of the Office of Technical Education’s Accountability and Institutional Effectiveness team and will report to the Executive Director of Accountability & Institutional Effectiveness. This position’s focus will be to ensure TCSG compliance with the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V), including fiscal and training responsibilities. Strong knowledge of Perkins V and the US Department of Education’s Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG) is necessary for this position. This position will be funded by grant funds. Statewide Travel Required. Responsibilities
Work with the Assistant Commissioner to monitor System Office Perkins spending (contracts and travel). Ensure funds are spent following UGG requirements
Work with the Georgia Department of Education to develop the Perkins state budget
Participate on the team to develop the combined WIOA/Perkins State Plan
Build college allocations and load into the Perkins Grant Management software
Work with college staff to develop Perkins budgets. Review and approve all budgets and amendments
Work with Accountability Specialist to maintain and revise Perkins Management Software when needed
Provide Split Sheet/Personnel and Operating to administrative services
Develop criteria/selection process for Perkins Internal Control visits
Participate on Perkins Internal Control visits to the colleges
Oversee the reporting for the Perkins Consolidated Annual Report
Work with Administrative Services regarding the Perkins financial information needed for OCTAE
Responsible for monitoring carryover funds and developing carryover spreadsheet to redistribute unspent Perkins funds to the colleges
Develop and conduct monthly training sessions with the colleges regarding Perkins grant management
Provide planning support for Institutional Effectiveness Peer Group Meetings
Regularly visit and train new college staff and others regarding software and grant requirements
Attend US Department of Education meetings as needed.
Develop file management structure to ensure that records are maintained for all colleges
Responsible for disseminating Perkins grant award notices.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university *and* Five (5) years of experience in management or the defined departmental area
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Five (5) years managing the Carl D. Perkins Grant (college or system level) including fiscal management
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Proficient with Excel, pivot tables, and developing spreadsheets.
SQL database experience
Strong communication, both written and verbal
Ability to establish and maintain professional and productive working relationships with staff at all levels at the college and the system office
