Technical Professionals Group is Hiring a Track Maintenance Technician Near Wittmann, AZ
TPG is seeking a motivated, dependable, and safe Track Maintenance Technician to support an automotive testing company in Wittmann, AZ. This position will assist in maintaining 12,800 acres of beautiful Sonoran Desert, and 80 miles of asphalt and dirt driving tracks. You must keep safety as number one, show the ability and willingness to learn, and be detail-oriented. Track Maintenance Technician Essential Job Duties
Conduct general facility and grounds maintenance for the Arizona Mobility Test Center
Maintain proving ground tracks, roads and features and assist technicians with facilities and buildings as needed.
Maintain equipment, tools and ensure they are always safe and usable in accordance with company health and safety regulations
Operate power and hand tools.
Uses tools and equipment to prepare building sites for exterior maintenance and improvements on proving ground tracks, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Be highly organized, dedicated to assignments and committed to safety
Basic to intermediate computer skills
Able to work cooperatively in diverse and challenging environment
Capable and willing to learn the operation of heavier equipment as needed.
Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities, preferred but not required
Have a good command of the English language with good written and verbal communication skills
Spanish speaking (plus)
Education & Job Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Driver's License
A clean motor vehicle driving record is necessary
Prior experience with outdoor work using equipment, tools and machinery.
Prior experience with light construction and general building maintenance preferred
Physical and Environmental Job Requirements
Standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items of up to 30 lbs. and more
Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
Exerting up to 50 pounds or more of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels
