Job Description
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits do the component level (resistor, capacitor, diode, IC etc.)
  • Ensure that all installations, repair, calibrations and modifications to the electrical systems and components are carried out in accordance with company policies and regulatory laws.
  • Maintain and repair electronic systems in relation to Surface equipment and drilling package instrumentation and electronics.
  • Carry out installation, calibration and modification to electronic systems and components as per TFMC maintenance standards.
  • Basic skills in soldering and assembling of electronic and electro/mechanical devices.
  • Proficient in the use of multi-meters, meggers, testers, and other basic testing and troubleshooting instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists.
  • General technical knowledge in fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits, and electro/mechanical devices.
  • Maintain workshop equipment/tools to the highest safety standards.
  • Perform daily visual inspections of equipment and prevent/rectify actual and potential malfunctions.
You Are Meant For This Job If
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education, if candidate successfully completes an aptitude and reading comprehension assessment in the pre-employment process.
  • 3 years’ experience with electrical systems and maintenance
  • Experience with PLCs, SCRs, and MCCs
  • Self-driven, focused on customer service, with ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations and perform work at off-site locations. Hours may vary based on customer demands, some overtime will be required. Valid driver’s license and must maintain satisfactory MVR in accordance with Company Fleet Policy
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Demonstrates strong mechanical and technological aptitudes.
  • PC Skills with functional knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to optimize limited resources.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Outdoor weather conditions including cold, hot, wet, and humid conditions. Requires working near moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals. Minimal risk of electric shock. Moderate to very loud noise levels. Appropriate PPE is provided and required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing; Walking; Ability to talk and hear; Use of arms and hands to reach, manipulate with fingers, handle, feel and/or lift no more than 50lbs; Ability to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, crawl; Ability to see close distance, long distance, identify and distinguish colors, observe an area that can be seen up and down or left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point (peripheral), judge distances and spatial relationships, three-dimensional vision (depth perceptions), ability to adjust and focus. Appropriate PPE is provided and required.
