The main function of a marketing manager is to lead the research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service. A typical marketing manager is responsible for gathering information on competitors and methods of marketing and distribution.
Job Responsibilities:
Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.
Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing with outside producers and distributors.
Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities.
Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required.
8-10 years related experience required.

? 5 years of experience in marketing, 3 years in digital marketing, advertising, or related field. Retail marketing experience a plus, but not required.
? Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; proven ability to lead initiatives across teams.
? Superior project management skills, including the ability to prepare written plans and schedules, identify objectives, coordinate and direct project teams and manage budgets.
? High level of confidence, integrity and enthusiasm that fits a fast-paced, energetic and proactive organization.
? Work independently and actively in a team environment to achieve business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
? Excellent communication and presentation skills, with high attention to detail. Must be able to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone and through email.
? Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills are critical in this role.
? Deeply understand the digital and in-store retail shopper experience journey, consumer pain points and industry best practices.
? Manage product experience lifecycle on retailer websites, including toolkit and assets updates, above-the-fold content and A / below-the-fold content launches
? Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Retail accounts to support marketing and campaign execution efforts (content, messaging, ad campaigns, creative approvals and other)
? Drive initiatives that bring Samsung marketing strategies, campaigns and promotions to Retailers (through the account teams) to ensure cross-channel consistency for shoppers throughout the year
? Lead regular customer-strategic planning and marketing calendar cadence with account teams? Manage content launch processes and optimizations across Retail, including all Retail marketing, in-store experiences and websites
