TechServ is seeking a motivated, self-starter with at least five years of experience as a project scheduler in the construction or similar industry. This position is mission-critical to supporting project planning, organizing, management, coordination, and administration of projects to ensure project completion on budget, on time, as in accordance with agreed scope. This position is responsible for supporting the project manager in providing effective planning and delivery of all phases of the project.

About the Role:

The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining schedules for various tasks and activities within a project. Duties include developing schedules, resource allocation, tracking progress, communicating with stakeholders, and risk management. The Project Scheduler is plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects by creating realistic schedules, optimizing resource utilization, and effectively managing project timelines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive schedule of activities in GANTT form using either Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Adjust schedules as needed, providing a clear narrative of changes and what created the changes.
  • Attend all planning meetings to collect information as it pertains to the utility work activities.
  • Coordinate and distribute preparatory planning to needed parties.
  • Meet with other Project Schedulers and Project Managers prior to weekly planning meetings to provide aid in agenda development and “heads up” critical and new topics.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of integration and scheduling experience, preferably in the electric utility industry
  • Extensive experience with schedule planning and management in fast-paced, ever-changing environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, including stakeholders and project managers in a multi-disciplined team environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, clients and the company leadership team
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Comfort with routinely shifting demands
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to work extended hours, as needed
  • Above all, a tenacious work ethic is a necessity
  • Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America
  • High School diploma or GED, required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Managment or related field
  • Experience with utilities or construction project planning and scheduling
  • Experience with utilities contracts, special provisions, standard specifications, and industry standards related to scheduling

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing.
  • Alternates between sitting, standing, and moving about the office to access office equipment and filing cabinets
  • Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times
  • Requires working under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and company needs

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Location: Panama City, Florida

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00, extended hours as needed
