TECHSTAFF of AZ is Hiring a Water/Wastewater Project Manager Near Tempe, AZ
- Working on and leading a design team from initial studies and design through construction management projects.
- Working throughout the municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater industry.
- Supervise and provide technical direction to a team of junior and mid-level engineers.
- Be responsible for design tasks commensurate with experience
- On multiple concurrent projects, serve as the main point of contact for the client, contractors, and staff
- Work with the team in making decisions regarding technical approaches, cost control, schedule control, change management, risk and claims management, and project performance.
- Actively manage and report on the status of the project schedule and budget.
- Lead project meetings with client and stakeholders.
- Develop, review, and approve written deliverables.
- Position will lead to increasing levels of client development and management, supported by other local, regional and corporate staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in civil/environmental engineering or a related field
- Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong organizational and proven problem-solving skills
- PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months
- Desired experience is 10-15 years in the water field
- Preferred professional qualifications:
- Master's Degree in environmental engineering
- Background in business development
- Significant experience with public utilities
