Job Description
Techworks is currently hiring a Business Development Representative in our Ronkonkoma, New York office. This position is focused upon developing new Managed Services leads through multiple prospecting techniques including email campaigns and cold calls. The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly motivated individual looking to advance their sales skills and grow a strong financial future for both themselves and the company.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Researching prospects and identifying the key people to contact
- Delivering a successful value proposition to get the attention and buy-in from decision makers
- Qualifying and disqualifying potential prospects to ensure time is spent on clients that are the best fit for our organization
- Developing relationships with prospects and keeping a long-term sales pipeline
- Active in community and networking events
Our Requirements
- High energy, Self-directed, Adaptable and Positive personality.
- Must have a competitive drive and be process driven.
- Consultative attitude, must be able to identify and speak to a customer’s IT needs, not just sell.
- Organized individual, familiarity and aptitude with Connectwise or other CRM software a big plus.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 1 year of business to business sales experience preferred.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of IT Managed Services with understanding of competitive offerings, product portfolio and industry trends.
- Specific experience selling outsourced solutions to commercial customers is preferred but not required.
- Competent with operational requirements such as prospecting, forecasting and business planning.
- Highly professional approach with excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Valid drivers’ license.

Compensation
Base Salary Aggressive Commission Plan with no earnings cap. Successful sales performance meeting quotas earning $100,000 - $150,000 per year depending on performance.
