The Warehouse Associate is the person responsible for loading, unloading trailers, receiving the material, verifies and enters the merchandise that must be stored in the warehouse. Store and control the merchandise that enters according to the established code. List the orders of the materials of the different units.
Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly inspect merchandise for any damages and discrepancies.
- Hand carts, or pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange merchandise accordingly.
- Strategically storing merchandise to maximize storage space within the warehouse.
- Weighing merchandise and selecting appropriate envelopes, boxes, containers, or crates in which to pack merchandise.
- Packing, sealing, and labeling merchandise accordingly.
- Push, lift or carry heavy loads
- Flexible in providing support for varying specialty labor as needed
- Ensured cleanliness and functionality of warehouse equipment on a regular basis
- Other activities related to warehouse
- Basic computer skills
- Receive material in Warehouse Management System
- Print Labels
- Place labels on boxes or pallets accordingly
- Strong basic mathematical skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment. (6 months )
- Wide experience in a variety of types of physical labor
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (lift and move heavy objects, 35lbs)
- The ability to do repetitive activities
- The ability to safely operate warehouse material and equipment
- Forklift experience is a PLUS
- The ability to stand for extended periods. 8hrs
- Detail-oriented in following instructions and carrying out tasks
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to put material in designated location
