TECMA Company is an AS9100 certified, contract job shop providing precision machining services to the Aerospace and Defense Industries. We are a family-owned business and have been in Sacramento, CA for over 67 years specializing in CNC and conventional machining of hard-to-manufacture, mission-critical components for flight production, R&D, prototyping and tooling. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist, who is highly skilled in programming, set-up, operating and running CNC lathes. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with occasional overtime as required. Tecma works a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS OVERVIEW

• 3 years machining experience using CNC lathes to fabricate parts with close/tight tolerances. CNC Lathe with live tooling, set-up and operation a plus but not required.
• Must be able to set-up and operate CNCs to obtain first article (FAI) acceptance
• Basic programming (“G” codes); must be able to read and understand G-code
• Experience with CAMWorks a plus
• Familiar with Haas controls
• Experience using manual/conventional mills and lathes is a plus
• Highly motivated with a desire to learn and grow with TECMA
• Must be able to edit CNC programs at the machine
• Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches and understanding job planning; Understanding GD&T
• Inspects work in-process utilizing basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Knowledge and proficiency in the Microsoft Suite – WORD, EXCEL and OUTLOOK
• Familiarity and willingness to comply with AS9100 quality management system and goals of zero defects
• Sets up and oversees Machine Operators as required during post machining runs.
• Maintains a clean 5S work area and complies with established safety directives.
