POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Materials Manager, receives incoming products and materials and processes outgoing shipments of products and materials as needed.

Refers questions and problems to pertinent departments for action. Follows detailed instructions and reports any deviation to manager.

The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows existing policies, practices and procedures.
• Packages, crates, bundles, prepares product for shipment.
• Receives goods based on proper paperwork.
• Utilizes judgment in rejecting receipt of potentially damaged good.
• Takes ownership when counting inventory for finished goods and sub-assemblies. Utilizes ERP as system of record.
• Administers issue / issue return of kits.
• Run daily backlog report from ERP system.
• Coordinate and manage delivery driver and delivery schedule
• Coordinate point of use staging
• Procurement of all items as required
• Maintain a clean work area daily shift cleaning.
• May be required to be flexible with work schedule.
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• High School diploma or general education degree
• 2 years of shipping or receiving experience
• Knowledge with UPS, Fedex, and freight procedures

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Identifies and reports quality concerns.

• Knows and follows all safety requirements.
• Good verbal communication skills with internal staff.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent data entry skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
• Forklift training and operation is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work environment is representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be required to stand.

The employee could be required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee could occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job could include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
