Overview: The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees clinical and operational functions in the skilled nursing facility, ensuring high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Management: Handle complex medical conditions and oversee care plans and compliance with Minimum Data Sets.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to OBRA, OSHA, and other standards.

• Employee Management: Manage nursing staff, including training, scheduling, and performance.

• Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance systems and track quality indicators.

• Administrative Functions: Develop systems for workflow and quality tracking, and ensure compliance with State Personnel Rules.

• Other duties as requested.

Experience Required:

• Skilled Nursing/Long-Term Care facility experience.

• Nursing supervisory/management experience.

Education and Certifications Required:

• Active RN license in Arizona.

• Fingerprint clearance card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

• Degree from a nationally accredited nursing program.
