Our client is a North American organization. They have an opening for an accomplished payroll professional who can do it all! This role will be responsible for the semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly payroll for multiple locations and states for up to 500 employees. Your day will zip by quickly, and will handle the following responsibilities:

  • Handle the complete cycle payroll from start to finish
  • Knowledge of multiple state labor laws, including California
  • Understands GL
  • Export/import reports
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Handles employee questions regarding payroll legislation, timekeeping, earnings, taxes, deductions, garnishments, benefits/carrier questions and 401K
  • Manages month-end, quarter-end and year-end payroll activities
  • Is a partner with other departments such as HR, Finance and IT
  • Handles annual company audits such as ACA, 401K, Workers Compensation and ERISSA

What you'll bring:

  • At least 5 years of multi-state, multi-location payroll for up to 500 employees
  • Strong background in US Federal and State payroll laws
  • Bachelor's Degree in commerce, administration finance or similar
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, IF statements), ADP or Paycom
  • Certified Payroll Professional an asset
  • Problem solver, able to connect the dots, critical thinker
  • Able to undergo and pass a background check
