Title-Senior IT Network Engineer

Location- NYC, New York (onsite)

Duration-6 Months

MOI: Phone then skype

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage complex network architectures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN,and VPN solutions..
• Evaluate and recommend network technologies and tools to enhance performance, security,and reliability.
• Configure and optimize network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. 
• Monitor network performance and security, and implement proactive measures to preventdowntime and breaches. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systemsand applications. 
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. 
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior network engineers and IT staff.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for network emergencies outside ofregular business hours. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering roles. 
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP). 
• Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Aruba. 
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewall configuration, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. 
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. 
• Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network , or equivalent, are preferred. 

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
