TekCom Resources is seeking a Fiber Mapping Assistant to work with a fast-growing telecom construction and engineering company in the St. Louis market! If you have one or two years of experience as an office-based Project Coordinator or Administrative Assistant, especially in telecommunications construction, this role will likely be a great fit.
As Fiber Mapping Assistant, you will be working out of our client's office and helping them track completed fiber optics construction for the purpose of paying contractors and billing customers. Candidates may be located in the St. Louis area, the Kansas City area or Ashland, Ohio - as long as you can work from the office five days per week, you are eligible for consideration! Training will be provided over a two-week period, and may require travel paid for our client depending on where you live.
While experience with the below duties would be very helpful, the most essential requirement is great attention to detail. You will spend the majority of your day looking at very detailed maps and spreadsheets!
Job Duties:

• Use Excel, Word, Bluebeam and PDF editing software for the purpose of tracking completed fiber construction work. While Bluebeam experience is not necessary for this role, it is a huge plus!
• Read prints provided by customers and make map notations regarding placement of fiber, telephone poles, and other underground utilities work.
• Log locations of infrastructure, customer billing codes and purchase order numbers in Excel sheet based on these maps.
• Work directly with Operations Coordinators to verify accuracy of maps - you'll be receiving lots of direct oversight and ongoing training in this role.
