What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Architect position at Tekgence Inc?
Title: Technical Architect – Virtualization/Cloud
Location: Alpharetta, GA – Onsite
Contract: 12 months
We are looking for a Senior Engineer/Architect to help assess the existing vSphere environment and design a high-level migration plan where the target is Red Hat OpenShift. The emphasis will be on migration enablement, education, and understanding RedHat Ecosystem dependencies.
Additional information
- Must be willing and able to work onsite 5 days per week in Alpharetta, GA and Buckhead GA
- Must have top-notch communication skills
- Must have experience at the Senior Engineer / Architect level
- Strong vSphere experience required
- Strong Linux RedHat experience required
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Evaluate existing VMware vSphere environment to assess utilization of compute and storage
- Map existing use of compute, memory and storage in vSphere environment to Red Hat requirements
- Develop OpenShift Virtualization high-level design
- Assist with the deployment of a Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization POC/Sandbox environment
- Create Migration plan
- Develop testing strategy and execute it
- Create an operational handbook from day-to-day activities to aid in client’s development of managing Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization
