Job Title: Senior IT Operations Engineer - Onshore Duration: 6 months Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY Skills: IT platforms support, networks, services, reliability Job DescriptionPosition - We are looking for a talented, experienced IT Operations and Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing IT operations under the guidance of a Manager while also possessing scripting and/or software skills. The role will primarily focus on IT operations, platforms and infrastructure but will involve some DevOps and Site Reliability work. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to jump into SRE/DevOps and expand their skills. Key Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day IT operations, ensuring smooth and efficient systems and networks functioning and driving continuous improvement through established IT performance metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement IT solutions that enhance efficiency and support company objectives.
Maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases.
Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance by monitoring network stability and performance.
Ensure the scalability, availability, and security of our systems, leveraging industry best practices.
Manage and administer various software applications and systems critical to the business,
Implement robust security measures to protect the company's data and infrastructure from potential threats and breaches. HIPAA/PCI compliance
Collaborate with the development and DevOps teams to integrate IT solutions seamlessly. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (5 years) in IT operations, infrastructure management, or systems administration, preferably within a healthcare environment
Proven experience in IT operations management with a strong understanding of networking, systems, and security, particularly in a fully remote work environment.
Experience with endpoint protection and cloud backup SaaS tools.
Exposure to tools such as TeamViewer & Crashplan.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced and dynamic remote work environment.
Familiarity with HIPAA and other healthcare-related regulatory and compliance requirements.
