Human Factors EngineerPosition Type: 9-month contract with possible extension Location:Hybrid (Alameda or Milpitas, CA) or Remote (U.S.)Travel: Up to 10% international (EU/UK) Key Responsibilities
Apply human factors expertise to product design and evaluation within the R&D division.
Utilize human factors principles and techniques to support continuous glucose monitoring product development.
Prepare usability engineering documentation, including task and risk analyses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors Engineering, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Industrial Design, or a related field.
5 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge in human factors, cognitive psychology, software development processes, and usability.
Proven track record in implementing new processes and delivering value-added software engineering information.
Ability to work independently and in a team in a dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with FDA-regulated Class 2 or 3 medical devices.
Knowledge of diabetes and related products.
Familiarity with Quality System Regulations (QSR) and Usability Engineering Files.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
