Summary

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring goods and services in accordance with established policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, raw materials, machinery, equipment, MRO supplies, and services provided by outside vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and Process: Handle Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Purchase Orders for manufacturing needs.
• Negotiate and Analyze: Work with vendors to secure the best costs, payment terms, and delivery options.
• Expedite and Support: Expedite orders and support engineering and sales teams in obtaining RFQs.
• Drive Cost Savings: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs.
• Quality Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors and the internal quality team on defective goods or services.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory of raw materials and conduct monthly cycle counts.
• Supplier Management: Resolve shortages, research new suppliers, and monitor supplier performance.
• Invoice Support: Assist Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience in managing inventory and supplier relationships.

Education and/or Experience

• Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or a related field and/or 2 years of related experience in process engineering.
• Machining knowledge is highly preferred.
• Aerospace experience is preferred but not required.
