The Contract Specialist is responsible for maintaining large scale, complex, multi-million-dollar contracts, as well as oversight of scope and schedule related to academic programs, contracts and grants. Establishes and tracks contract performance metrics to ensure timely development and execution, adherence to vendor meeting schedules and deliverables, and prompt receipt and processing of invoices. Oversees contracts and collaborates with business owners to initiate amendment or new procurement procedures before contract expiration dates.Works with Senior Program Management Specialists to assess risks in the Master Project Plan related to executed contracts. Manages contract execution with contractors, including scheduling, deliverable submissions, and coordination with the Master Project Plan

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, business management, or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in drafting contracts scopes of work.
• Three (3) years of successfully managing vendor deliverables to include reviewing/approving invoices
• Effective communication skills
• Experience in managing the project development process
• Establish and manage project budgets with an understanding of all financial implications/issues
