Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring projects are completed within budget. Your expertise in construction estimating and project management will contribute to the success of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Build relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure reliable and cost-effective services
- Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to streamline the estimating process
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures as needed
- Review contracts and proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Provide support to project teams during the bidding process
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, techniques, and practices
- Proficiency in project management methodologies
- Familiarity with software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam
- Excellent negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
