Teksouth is seeking an experienced Air Force Financial Management (AF/FM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the AFRC FM team and interact with portfolio owners. This position requires broad experience with AF/FM functions. Qualified candidates will have a working knowledge of AFRC and the programs used within the AFRC FM community.

This position supports the strategic rollout of AFRC FM capabilities. The SME supports management, organizational, and business tasks by providing subject area knowledge. The AFRC FM application portfolio consists of the following applications:

• AROWS-R (Air Force Reserve Order Writing System)
• BRS (Budget Reporting System)
• PBASweb (Personnel Budget & Analysis System)
• RTS/RTSWeb (Reserve Travel System)
• UTAPSWeb (Unit Training Assembly Processing System)

You will ensure the proper implementation of unique AFRC FM accounting elements and business rules. The SME is also responsible for testing and validating that the business rule application is applied properly across the platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers and other technical staff to articulate business rule definitions
• Communicate with points of contact to ensure all conversions are captured accurately
• Ensure the accuracy of data converted within the extract translate load (ETL) processes, stored procedures, and web applications
• Facilitate change management best practices

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance
• BS/BA degree and a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience; OR Ten (10) years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of U.S. Air Force Financial, Accounting, and Budgeting systems, including DEAMS, GAFS-BQ, and CRIS
• Knowledge of what is required for Command and base level analysts to scrutinize budget execution and administrative work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of a budget with different sources and types of funding is highly encouraged
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and provide guidance for sub-tasks
• Able to lead specific project tasks to analyze problems, define requirements, and recommend solutions
• Working knowledge of requirements and defect tracking tools (JIRA)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with clients, from analysts to senior AFRC FM officials
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a large organization, managing diverse tasks, requirements, and commitments
• Demonstrated ability to document processes and procedures, and guide the execution of developed solutions
• Willingness to study, develop skills, and implement the latest technologies to enhance customer solutions
• Relevant experience covering AROWS-R, RTS, BRS, UTAPSWeb, or PBASWeb. Any working knowledge of financial management budget experience with USAF, specifically familiarity with GAFS-BQ, DEAMS, or CRIS is a plus.
