Logistics Project Coordinator
Our organization is looking for an inventive, client focused project coordinator with proven experience in project management, focused on providing solutions for project logistics. The team works cross-functionally to support the procurement of R&D Equipment. The Logistics Project Coordinator is a confident organizer who can prioritize tasks, communicate with vendors and engineers, and track details across multiple teams to provide excellent service and enable a smooth and seamless logistics process.
Responsibilities:
Manage purchases and logistics once a PO has been issued to a vendor.
Follow up with vendors to confirm shipment statuses and ETAs.
Coordinate with cross functional teams, such as Trade Compliance, Carriers, Vendors, Contract Manufacturers, and End Users, to enable a smooth logistics
process.
Recognize potential import, export, and other potential Trade Compliance related issues, and identify solutions.
Review vendor quotes and work closely with end users to determine specific logistics needs for different equipment purchases.
Resolve conflicts between our company, Vendors, Freight Forwarders, and Contract Manufacturers.
Provide regular order updates to end users that give a concise summary of current order statuses.
Track shipment statuses to ensure timely delivery, obtain proof of delivery, and confirm receipt with end users.
Identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities in current processes, recommend solutions for improvements, and document process changes.
Initiate logistics-specific Purchase Requisitions.
Qualifications:
Experience with end-to-end order processes including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Logistics, and Invoicing.
Strong experience in Logistics.
Understanding of incoterms and import/export regulations.
Understanding of Freight processes and Transportation Chains.
Experience in project management.
Preferred Experience:
BA/BS degree and 2 years of industry experience
