Description:

This role is responsible for serving and supporting the Product Owner and Base Development team in their quest to deliver high quality value to the customer. Key responsibilities include guiding and coaching 2 agile scrum teams in Kanban / Scaled Agile (SAFe) best practices and values as the team delivers technology solutions for AML team. Also, this person to be self-organized, and to perform to a higher level of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team. This person should be able to remove impediments or find the right personnel to remove the impediment, build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, and facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. They should personify Scrum and Agile, providing support to the team using a servant leadership style, leading by example. REQUIRED SKILLS - First level Scrum Master experience and/or certification (PSM I, CSM) - Knowledge of Kanban and/or scaled agile frameworks such as the Scaled Agile Framework for the Enterprise (SAFe) - Experience being the Kanban Lead or Scrum Master for at least two years - Experience being on multiple Kanban or scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.) - Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Kanban / Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games - Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc. - Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency. - Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- Second level Scrum Master certification (PSM II, CSP) - Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least three years for a software development team - A good working knowledge of using an Agile tool such as Jira - Track record of continued and recent education, as a presenter and learner, in Agile and Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc. - Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space such as XP & Kanban - Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team - Previous experience as a collaborative leader - Excellent communication and mentoring skills
