Are you looking to join a dynamic healthcare team that values patient care and efficiency? We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing/AR Specialist to join our growing practice. As an AR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in performing a variety of collection and investigative functions on delinquent patient account balances. Responsibilities: • Follows the claims process and assure this is completed in a timely manner. • Work closely with Account Services and Operations to ensure accuracy in billing. • Reconcile accounts when payments are received. • Performs follow-up on open AR, insurance billing, and collection activities. • Files appeals for denied claims. • Processes refund requests for insurance companies. • Answers billing and payment related questions for patients. • Recommends rebilling to third parties if appropriate. • Refers accounts to outside collection agencies. Requirements: • 2 years’ experience in a related position (Medical billing, insurance follow up, denials, medical claims, revenue cycle, etc.) • Experience investigating and fighting Denied Medical Claims with Commercial Insurance Carriers (United Health, Cigna, Aetna, etc.) • EPIC experience required. • Strong understanding of insurance claims processing and reimbursement required. • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing and coding preferred. • Position: Medical AR Specialist • Pay: $20 - $22/hr. • Pay cycle – weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered. • 3 month contract position to start. Possibility for extension or to remain permanent. • Shift: Monday – Friday | 7am – 3:30pm • Address: 9 Farm Springs Rd. Farmington, CT
