Position: Business Analyst (Data Governance)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (100% REMOTE)
Summary:
- Paradigm Technology is seeking a Data Governance Business Analyst to join our team and support our Data Governance Initiatives
- The Data Governance Business Analyst will work closely with business units and IT teams to ensure data integrity and compliance
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Management, Data Quality, and Data Governance
- Experience with Data Retention and Purging is preferred
- Experience in the Banking sector is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures
- Conduct Data Analysis to identify Data Quality issues and work with relevant teams to resolve them
- Responsible for gathering, reviewing, and documenting requirements on projects
- Assist in the implementation of Data Governance frameworks and tools
- Develop and maintain Data Dictionaries, Data Models, and Data Lineage documentation
- Facilitate Data Governance meetings and workshops
- Monitor compliance with Data Governance policies and procedures
- Provide training and support to business users on Data Governance practices
- Assist in the development and execution of Data Governance communication plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analytics
- Strong understanding of Data Governance principles and best practices
- Experience with gathering, reviewing, and documenting requirements on projects
- Proficiency in Data Analysis tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Data Governance tools, like Collibra, Informatica, or Ataccama, is preferred
- Knowledge of Data Privacy Regulations, like General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), is preferred
- Experience in the Banking sector is preferred
